WV Alliance for Drug Endangered Children

Drug Endangered Children (DEC) are children who are at risk of suffering physical or emotional harm as a result of illegal drug use, possession, manufacturing, cultivation, or distribution. They may also be children whose caretaker’s substance misuse interferes with the caretaker’s ability to parent and provide a safe and nurturing environment.

The WV Drug Endangered Children Task Force is committed to the health and safety of drug endangered children through collaboration of state, federal and community agencies and though building effective multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated services and support for these child victims.
